Why Compete?
We believe that entering competitions is a great way to upskill and meet other members of our pole community! Competitors also enjoy the opportunity to polish their favourite tricks and express creativity through dance, costume and props. You don’t have to be an advanced student either – simply put in the time to work on your tricks and have fun!
At Hanger 66, we offer individual private coaching for studio representatives and independent competitors. Our award-winning instructors are available to help you with all key aspects of competition training, including:
- Concept development and presentation
- Video entry training and filming
- Trick selection, taking into account the judging criteria of your chosen event and division
- Choreography, floorwork and base pole dance
- Stage presence training
- And much more!
Our instructors bring a wealth of experience to each coaching session, as they have themselves competed and placed at a number of high profile events. You will find that our instructors also specialise in certain styles, and work tirelessly to upskill in their area of expertise – even if they are not competing!
Our recommendation is to select your instructor and purchase a Competition Package – a five-session pass that can be applied for video entry and competition routines. If you choose to represent Hanger 66, you will also enjoy a $30 discount!

Room Hire
Room hire for all three studio rooms is available at the Hanger. Room hire starts at $60 per hour. Please speak to reception or email us for more information.
**Room Hire Cancelation Policy: Please note we require a min of 24 hrs notice for any room cancellation.
